Spilled Ink's List of Charities

Spilled Ink and friends believe that giving to charitable causes is a obligation every single human must meet. Whether its time, money or even clicking on links or retreating the name and URL of a charity, each of us has something to give those in need or the means to preserving the Earth and it's creatures. As a race and an organism of this planet, we share and must bear this responsibility without question and with honor.

Supporting charities is Spilled Ink's preferred means of reaching out to others. Taxation and forced wealth redistribution by the government and its agents compel us to resent those in need while charitable organizations compel us to empathize and reach out with our hearts. Politics, politicians, and political parities waste our money and resources while diverting our attention away from the real issues: someone needs your help and you have the ability to help them.

  CityTeam Ministries is a non-profit organization serving the poor and homeless in San Jose, San Francisco, Oakland, Portland, Philadelphia and partnerships in 82 other countries around the world. Since 1957, CityTeam has provided life-saving food, shelter, clothing, recovery programs, youth outreach, camp for at-risk inner city kids, discipleship and other essential care 365 days a year.

• One Warm Coat

  One Warm Coat started out in 1992 as a Thanksgiving Weekend coat drive in San Francisco. Since then, more than 1 Million coats have been donated in thousands of local communities across North America. Each coat drive has the same intent -- to collect coats that will be GIVEN to those in need.

• Second Harvest Foodbank

  Serving an average of 231,311 people per month, Second Harvest Foodbank provides food efficiently through innovative direct-service programs and collaboration with a network of 326 partner non-profit agencies operating at more than 700 different food distribution sites. Partner agencies include shelters, pantries, soup kitchens, children's programs, senior meal sites, and residential programs.

  Project Mexico through the guidance and volunteerism of young people strive for the alleviation of suffering by building homes for Mexico's poor. Hundreds of homes have been built for needy families with the help of nearly 10,000 volunteers. St. Innocent Orphanage in Tijuana provides a home for teenage boys who live on the streets or who have been put out of other orphanages.
